Why India Hidden Gems Exists?
India is one of the most diverse travel landscapes in the world. Yet discovering it often comes with uncertainty: inconsistent operators, unclear pricing and the fear of being misled by unverified agents.
Too often, travellers compromise on safety or quality of experience in pursuit of cheaper rates. India Hidden Gems was created to bring clarity and credibility to how India is explored.
We partner directly with trusted regional operators to design experiences that are reliable, transparent and thoughtfully managed from start to finish.
How We Began And Where We Are Today
India Hidden Gems began with a simple frustration that India deserved better discovery and more authentic, curated travel experiences. The foundation of this platform was shaped in Nottingham, United Kingdom in 2022. Around that time, a brief conversation with a stranger at the Coldplay concert at the iconic Wembley Stadium, London stayed with me. As the song “Fix You” echoed through the stadium “lights will guide you home” felt less like a lyric and more like clarity. Soon after, within a year I returned to India to build India Hidden Gems.
Having experienced firsthand how clearly travel experiences were presented abroad, what was included, what to expect, how confidently people could book. India offers extraordinary depth to its travel offerings, yet discovery of new places and experiences often feels fragmented. Pricing lacks consistency. On ground execution can feel unpredictable for both domestic and international travellers.
To understand this properly, we travelled extensively across regions with content creators including Andaman Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu documenting hidden gems while building direct relationships with local operators.
As the community grew over time, we gradually evolved from a content led discovery platform into a structured booking and experience platform delivered through trusted regional partnerships.

Group Expeditions & Experiences
- Meghalaya: Hosted two curated community group experiences in July (Monsoon) on our own and October (Winter) with Andrea (from Philippines) and Annie, covering waterfall circuits, cave exploration, living root bridges and region led offbeat adventures across the Khasi Hills.
- Spiti Valley (Chandrataal Lake): Co-partnered and led a high altitude expedition to Chandrataal Lake in June with Mihir Golani, managing logistics for 20+ participants across remote Himalayan terrain.
- Rajasthan (Jodhpur & Jaisalmer): Curated and facilitated an offbeat exploration with Deanna (from the United Kingdom) and Amy (from Australia), covering heritage forts, regional cuisine, sunset viewpoints and off beat desert camping experiences.
- Kalu Waterfall Trek, Maharashtra (Sahyadri Range): Led a peak monsoon expedition to the three tier Kalu Waterfall in July, with guided on ground coordination across Sahyadri terrain which looks like a landscape from Jurassic Park.
- Barren Island Experience (December 2025): Facilitated an off beat expedition to Barren Island with Roop Verma, coordinating controlled snorkelling access and close-range observation of volcanic activity under regulated safety conditions.
- Barren Island Expedition, Andaman Islands (February 2026): Hosted a group expedition to India’s only active volcano — managing marine access, snorkelling in surrounding coral ecosystems, island navigation including caves and natural coral formations, and coastal exploration.
